  • Simply put, ours are better. We’ve done the research and seen what’s out there. Our floor plans have been mindfully developed for clients with environmental and human health at the forefront and are HIGHLY detailed; far beyond the standard stock plan you will find with many other Internet companies. We’ve even had clients come to us AFTER buying worthless stock plans on the Internet.

  • All of our current house plans are of conventional stud framing and Faswall Block masonry. Our Healthy Homes specification package (automatically added to all plans) allows you the ability to take a code-minimum home and turn it into a High-Performance home. We include many sustainable products, such as hemp-based products, and through our work with our partner organization, Root Down Building Collective, we are actively working to bring Hempcrete House Plans to you! Stay Tuned!

  • The Viewing Sets are delivered electronically in a convenient PDF format. They are a reduced-size (11” x 17”) of the floor plans and elevations from the construction documents. It is a useful tool to develop a quick initial budget with builder(s).

    Included: Floor Plans, Roof Plan, and (4) Exterior Building Elevations

  • The Bidding Set is a PDF (24" x 36") of the actual construction documents. It will be stamped “not for construction, for bidding purposes only”. This can be used to determine your actual cost with the builder(s). It does not include structural engineered drawings or an architectural stamp.

  • We are not just selling you plans… we are selling the house design (intellectual property). The plans are just how we communicate what you are building. This is why you need to purchase the license before building.

  • Our plans do not include the structural engineering, sitework or enery rescheck required for us to sign off on then with an architectural stamp. Our sister company, Root Down Designs, can provide this service in North and South Carolina. Please contact us for a quote.

  • The Hempstead Living house plans are meant to serve as a streamlined process for building a hempcrete home; utilizing a pre-designed house plan eliminates a large amount of both time and money from the pre-design process. We can make minor revisions to any of the Hempstead house plans shown here. Minor revisions are defined as any internal changes; any change which requires moving the exterior walls, the roof, or the floor system results in custom changes; all custom changes can be administered through one of our partner companies.

  • All building permits are granted through your local building and zoning departments; each municipality may have their own specific requirements. We offer a complete and comprehensive amount of documentation, but we ALWAYS recommend meeting with your local building department first, to understand what they will require for permit approval. It is possible that they may require an architect's stamp, structural engineering, or other specific requirements. Always check with your local jurisdiction first.

    • Full set of house plans which include our hempcrete wall system for enhanced indoor air quality and superior energy performance.
